WELCOME TO WORSHIP

revive Contemporary Worship

This service is at 9:00.  This service began in January of this year. This service meets in the Fellowship Hall. Coffee is served. It is a relaxed atmosphere with great music and preaching. Kids have an area called "The Nest" in which they can sit, read, color, etc while staying in Worship.

What should you wear?  We did say relaxed, so you be you and wear what makes you feel most authentically you!  We don't want anyone to feel they need to go out and buy a certain type of clothing to worship with us.

We share in Holy Communion typically on the first Sunday of the month,  Our table is ALWAYS an open table, meaning everyone is welcome to receive the gifts of bread and cup, not just those who are on our membership roll.

sanctuary Liturgical Worship

This service is at 10:15.  Our service is a relaxed traditional style.  While altar design enhances our worship service, we also incorporate additional creative elements through occasional  drama,  interpretive dance, other artistic forms, as well as in our music.  We do offer Children's Worship, Kids in Action, except on Communion Sundays.  They will join Miss Christa after the first hymn and go to the Fellowship Hall.

sunday Evening

About every six to eight weeks, we host a special Sunday evening worship called Overflow.  Some of the ETSU Wesley Foundation students and their friends lead us in a time of singing more contemporary worship songs accompanied acoustically.  Then, we enter into a contemplative practice, such as Lectio Divina, guided meditation, etc., followed by a sharing time.  We enjoy community with each other both before and after our worship time.

This worship opportunity is intentionally different from our Sunday morning worship, inviting those who attend to put their busy lives on pause for an hour and just rest in God's presence and love.
